Ashland Local was Chartered 1930.

Monthly meetings held on the first Monday of each month at various location, with some meetings waived in lieu of events instead.

Ashland BPW supports an annual scholarship of $400 awarded to a working woman in need of furthering her education or her skills. The scholarship usually goes to a non-traditional student. Ashland BPW donates items monthly to The Domestic Violence Shelter, Inc. in Mansfield and Rape Crisis Domestic Violence Safe Haven shelter in Ashland. Members started the Flip-Flop program, which collects flip-flops as many women come to the shelter with little to nothing, and rape victims must leave Hospital without shoes. The group donated cookies to both shelters at Christmas.

We support the BPW/USA and BPW/OHIO legislative platforms of equal pay for women, equal rights for women, and equal health rights for women.
