BPW/OHIO has been at the forefront in many arenas, providing women
increased educational opportunities, including seminars, scholarships,
community programs, special projects and legislative initiatives.
Some
of the BPW/Ohio highlights include:
SCHOLARSHIPS AND EDUCATION
BPW OHIO strongly and actively supports the advancement and effort
of women to HELP WOMEN ACHIEVE EQUITY THROUGH EDUCATION. We are
proud to have 100% participation by all local organizations
statewide. Our scholarships target women who are seeking the
education necessary for entry or re-entry into the work force or
advancement in a career field. Scholarships are awarded annually to
deserving applications. Our collective efforts provide direct
financial support to educate women as leaders in government and all
diverse career fields.

BPW/USA FOUNDATION
Founded as a non-profit education and research organization to
provide women with monetary support via scholarships, loans, fellowships,
and research grants. It also sponsors many education and training
opportunities for members on such topics as starting a business,
leadership development, career strategies, work and family issues. The
foundation promotes full participation, equity, and economic
self-sufficiency for women.

BPW SENIOR LIVING
BPW/Ohio identified the need for affordable senior citizen
housing long ago. Through the efforts of our members BPW sponsored the
establishment of two senior housing facilities. The Westmoor in Toledo
and the Hillrise in Cincinnati. Since their establishment we the members
of BPW/Ohio have continued to honor our commitment by serving on the
board of directors of both facilities and by our yearly fund raising
activities. The senior centers serve the residents of each facility and
the seniors of their respective communities.

POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Political Power is very necessary for legislative progress.
BPW/PAC represents the collective power of individuals who support BPW
OHIO's legislative agenda and platform. BPW/PAC is an issue-based
organization not affiliated with any political party. The political
action committee provides financial contributions and endorsements to
women and pro-women statewide candidates who support BPW OHIO legislative
priorities. BPW/ OHIO is supported solely by voluntary contributions and
operates in accordance with Federal Election Commission regulations.
Through BPW/PAC, members are able to act together in an organized way to
participate in the OHIO political process and to support candidates whose
views we share.
BPWUSA/PAC supports national candidates that support BPW/USA's
